David J. Gonzalez
President/CEO
Mr. Gonzalez has been involved in business and joint ventures for most of his life. He is a Vietnam Veteran having served in the US Air Force, working underground at a top secret computer facility in the central Midwest during the 70’s. The facility known only as WWMCCS, was a world-wide showcase example of computer technology 15 years prior to the advent of personal computers in the late 80’s. Dave learned early programming languages such as FORTRAN and COBOL, and was a priority operator.
He met his wife Kathy, who was also in the Air Force, married in 1977, and subsequently had eight children, four girls and four boys. David Gonzalez worked with Liberty Mutual Insurance Company as a sale’s rep in the early 80’s, meeting and exceeding established sales goals.
Mr. Gonzalez started Liberty Flag & Specialty Company in 1983 with only 15 dollars, and subsequently within 15 years built the company into the second largest mail order flag company in the nation, mailing over 1 million catalogs each year. Currently Liberty Flag & Specialty Company has four divisions: Liberty/World Class Flags, Liberty/World Class Christmas Displays, Liberty Ad Specialties, and the newest addition three years ago, BulkLights.Com. BulkLights.com markets energy savings LED Lighting and devices, for all lighting applications, saving users up to 90% in energy consumption.
Mr. Gonzalez founded and pastored a church in 1997, called Mountain Faith Church, located in Wisconsin Dells, Wisconsin. The church has a strong television presence in Southern Wisconsin, and also viewers from around the world on-line. He also created the World Faith Conference, a once a year retreat for ministries from around the world, held in Wisconsin Dells.
David Gonzalez studied Finance at Creighton University in Omaha, Nebraska, after his honorable discharge in 1977. Seven of his eight children work for the companies that he owns.
Kathleen A. Gonzalez
Secretary/Treasurer, HR
Mrs. Gonzalez has been married to David Gonzalez for 32 years and met him in USAF during the 70’s. Her first military duties were working for Air Force top brass at a SAC Air Force Base in the Midwest. Later she accepted a position as a postmaster of Pease Air Force Base in New Hampshire while still serving in the military. After the birth of the first of her eight children, she separated to become a full time mother, and later, a registered home school teacher.
Kathy has managed and worked in every department of the companies they jointly own, and she now currently provides payroll, heads the accounting department, and HR for three of those companies. A graduate of Reedsburg, Wisconsin, her roots are here in the Midwest.
Yoichi Kyori
Senior Electrical Engineer- R & D-Purchasing Director
Yoichi Kyori is a partner-stockholder with Planet Turbine, and was born in Hiroshima, Japan. He majored in Material Physics, and in electronics engineering at Toyama University, and studied GaSe-ZnSe hetero-junction characteristics.
Mr. Kyori worked for Toshiba Corporation and Toshiba America for 15 years as a design engineer for the Microwave Ovens Division. He was responsible for developing the choke door, and the popular RF shielded temperature probe. He has tested products, and reviewed test results, for UL, CSA, FCC, FTZ and BS compliance.
The last several years Mr. Kyori was stationed in Lebanon, TN as Engineering Manager for Toshiba America microwave oven production plant. Over time, he was promoted to manage the supplier selection process, VA/VE and TP for operation, and profit and loss improvements.
Yoichi spent more than 15 years at the Mid-South Electronics in Kentucky, as the Senior Product Engineer, Purchasing Agent and senior design engineer. He has worked with many well known US manufacturers like GE, Frigidaire, Motorola, Nortel, Alcatel, Lucent Technologies, and TurboChef.
He also worked two and a half years at TomoTherapy Inc., as QA/QC engineer.
Sheryl K. Albers
Legal Analyst/ Government Sales Manager
Sheryl Albers is a partner/stockholder of Planet Turbine and her assignments include the legal side of Planet Turbine, as well as government partnership projects. Sheryl Albers’ knowledge of government is vast, having come to us with a law degree from the University of Madison Law School, B.A. from Ripon College, years of private practice experience with a Madison based law firm where she met legal needs of businesses and individuals.
Sheryl has seventeen years of public sector experience as a member of the Wisconsin Legislature (January 1992 to December 2008) where she introduced hundreds of Bills to benefit the people of Wisconsin. As a State Legislator she earned the good reputation, and received many distinguished awards, for following projects through to a successful and final conclusion.
She also farmed hundreds of acres here in Sauk County, Wisconsin, not far from Planet Turbine.com’s Reedsburg’ corporate headquarters.
Sheryl Albers’s lawmaking capabilities have been recognized throughout the state, her advice to government officials welcomed and appreciated, and her understanding of government programs and operations, second to none.
Rhonda Armson
General Manager
Rhonda Armson is a partner/stockholder. Rhonda Armson serves as Planet Turbine.com’s General Manager, having brought to the position ten years of analytical skills related to graphics, inventory, JIT, employee supervision, and a variety of computer proficiencies. Ms. Armson also serves our Liberty/World Class affiliate companies for many years as Distribution Coordinator, and has been a million dollar producer for Liberty/World Class for several years.
Carolina Gonzalez
Administrative Assistant
Carolina Gonzalez is a partner stockholder, and also one of the owner’s daughters. Carolina has worked for Liberty/World Class since the age of two by labeling catalogs. Since that time, she has successfully managed the custom department, creating logo’s and art work for custom imprinting applications for customers. Her expertise has allowed her to manage the day-to-day operations of Liberty, including payroll and executive secretarial work.
